It’s tax time! The tax filing season officially begins on Monday, January 24, 2022.

We hope you will consider our firm for your 2021 tax return preparation needs. We have streamlined the tax return preparation process to provide more convenience to our clients and ensure a smooth and efficient experience.

Our secure client portal is encrypted with bank-level security so we can securely share files and information. Using the survey tool, you will answer some questions regarding your 2021 income/deductions and be able to upload your relevant tax documents.

There is also an app that allows you to take photos of your tax documents and upload them to the portal. The portal will store all your completed tax returns and supporting tax documents, such as W-2s, 1099s, etc., so you can easily access them anytime in the future.

The tax return filing deadline for individuals is Monday, April 18, 2022. Note that this is later than the usual April 15th deadline because April 15, 2022, is the Emancipation Day holiday in Washington, D.C., and by law, D.C. holidays impact tax deadlines for everyone in the same way federal holidays do.

If you have a separate entity that requires a return (i.e., trust, partnership and/or S-corporation), those returns are generally due by March 15th.

We typically prepare tax returns on a first-in, first-out basis, so the sooner you can provide us with the required information and documents, the sooner we will be able to complete your tax returns.

For individuals, if we do not receive your information and documents by March 15, 2022, we cannot guarantee completion of your tax returns before the April 18th deadline. At best, we can ensure a timely extension for you to file will be submitted on your behalf (giving you until October 15th to file).
